With the increasing consumption of social media, and the unique para social relationships which can be formed with influencers, it has become evident it is imperative to further research needs to be done of advertisers and influencers, particularly as they target children and younger persons

The Solution

A mobile targeted website that is directed towards parents as a useful guide and educator about the YouTube and Social Media space and the potential harms that could come across in the content that their children see on these large platforms.

The website would be promoted through social media ads ending with a learn more link as well as physical posters with scannable QR codes.

Process

My research process for this project included dividing and colour coding information gathered from my research into four main sections that were explored throughout the thesis paper.
